Bio
My first encounter with massage therapy was as a technique to manage a chronic injury sustained as a young adult. Over the years I explored several alternative health modalities including chiropractic and acupuncture. These experiences exposed an enthusiasm for learning about health and wellness and I fulfilled my appetite for knowledge through a variety of academic and practical pursuits including returning to school part time, expanding my yoga practice and focusing on living a balanced lifestyle. Armed with my new found insights I made the decision to embark on a career change as a massage therapist.
I am a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, a Hot Stone Therapy Practitioner, Thai Massage Certified, K - Taping Pro Therapist, and a Yoga Alliance qualified yoga instructor.
I have struck a good balance in my life between work and recreation, finding sufficient time to focus on interests such as healthy nutrition, exercise, spending time in nature and nurturing my own yoga practice. I am grateful for having found this harmony and the completeness I feel from the love and support of my husband and the company of our two cats.
